It is a trip, an adventure that we propose so that you can enjoy a gravel route through the province of Alicante, Murcia, Albacete and Valencia, depending on your choice. In self-sufficiency mode, you must complete the route autonomously, by following a GPS track and complying with all the Rules of the Highway Code. Four distance options: the new one, 720 kms with a cumulative distance of 11,300+ through the provinces of Alicante and Valencia, 360 kms with a cumulative distance of 4,500+, a third option of 200 kms and 2,500+ and the 100 kms with a cumulative distance of 1,600+.
Let yourself be surprised by a route that links all kinds of terrain and surfaces with a unique and native landscape diversity.
Don’t be in a hurry, the success of completing the challenge is only yours. Enjoy passing through natural spaces of exceptional beauty and protection such as the Natural Park of les Salines de Santa Pola, P.N. de las Lagunas de la Mata and Torrevieja, the Sierra Escalona in Orihuela, the greenways of the Segura and Xixarra rivers. The mouth of the Segura, Monte Coto de Pinoso, the Algezares of the Elx reservoir…
REGULATIONS IG360 2026
Learn more about the spirit of IG360 and our regulations to enjoy a unique experience in the first edition.
These regulations explain and develop the conditions of participation and characteristics of the IG 360 event, which will take place on April 30th and May 1st, 2nd, and 3rd, 2026, in the city of Alicante.
Registration implies acceptance of these regulations and authorization of the event’s cancellation and registration modification policy.
Regardless of the information in these regulations, all technical details can be found on the event’s official website, www.irongravel.com, and in the RUNNER’S GUIDE, which will be sent to all registered participants.
The proposed format is NON-COMPETITIVE. It is not a race or a walk. It is a personal challenge, in which each participant is obliged to comply at all times with the Road Safety Law and the General Traffic Regulations in force in Spain, as well as any other regulations in force along the route planned by the Organization. Participants are not granted special priority over other road users. Road safety requirements for the event are outlined in Article 7 of these Regulations.
There are no race numbers, but participants’ identification elements are mandatory for their safety and the smooth running of the event. A sticker for the bicycle and cap, if present, and other personal and non-transferable identification marks for the participant and their bicycle are required. Each participant will also be required to carry a tracker or geolocator, which will be delivered in their runner’s bag as a 50-euro deposit, which will be refundable at the end of the event and upon return of the race.
There is a timekeeping system and cut-off times. These cut-off times, set at the checkpoints (PCs) by the Organizers, will be more than sufficient for all participants, with the minimum level required for this type of event and according to mileage, to complete and enjoy the race.
Participants must respect the cut-off times for their own safety and the race’s safety. Failure to comply with this schedule means participants may continue on their own without the Organizer’s support or responsibility, or they may choose the shortest or easiest route back to Alicante. The cut-off times will be published in the Runner’s Dossier, which is published and announced on the official website.
In the event of withdrawal due to a breakdown that makes it impossible for the participant to complete the race, the Organizers cannot be held responsible for collecting the ticket.
In the event of withdrawal or abandonment, the participant must first withdraw at one of the checkpoints and inform the organizers of their withdrawal.
TYPE OF BICYCLE. This event has been designed for gravel-type bicycles, based on its route and format. However, the use of any type of bicycle capable of off-road riding is permitted.
The presence of e-bike versions is not contemplated in these Regulations. If the demand for e-bike participation is significant, the organizers will assess and manage their presence.
The route covers a wide variety of terrain, including roads, paths, trails, and some trails. Each participant must be fully aware of the length and difficulty of the race, which may take place partly at night, under possible cold, rainy, and windy weather conditions. Therefore, participants must ensure that their clothing and physical condition are appropriate for the race.
There are no route markings. The race is conducted using GPS tracking provided by the organizers. Participants must follow the route marked on the track. The official and final track will be sent to each participant in the weeks prior to the event. A GPS, mobile phone, and backup battery are required.
You can and should consult the event’s technical sheets for the four distances: 720, 360, 200, and 100 km.
The dates and departure times for the four distances are:
IG720, Thursday, April 30, at 7:00 a.m.
IG360, Saturday, May 2, at 5:00 a.m.
IG200, Saturday, May 2, at 7:00 a.m.
IG100, Saturday, May 2, at 9:00 a.m.
The maximum dates and times for the four distances are:
IG720, Sunday, April 6, at 2:00 PM
IG360, Sunday, April 6, at 2:00 PM
IG200, Saturday, April 5, at 10:00 PM
IG100, Saturday, April 5, at 7:00 PM
After the start, the group will ride at a neutral pace, accompanied by members of the organization and the local police, for the first few kilometers, until reaching the point indicated on the technical sheet.
Lights are mandatory. The start times and safe riding require the use of front and rear lights.
In the event of withdrawal, please notify the organization staff as soon as possible, either at one of the checkpoints or by calling the phone number provided by the organization.
The organization may cancel the race if weather conditions so advise or for other reasons beyond its control.
In this case, registration fees will not be refunded.
The race is run within a maximum time limit, in a single stage, and on a self-sufficient basis. Therefore, each participant must be able to organize and guide their own survival between the different checkpoints, both from a nutritional, clothing, and safety standpoint.
For support, the organizers will have several checkpoints, which will have food and beverages in quantities deemed reasonable given the event’s size. For the 720-km distance, there are virtual checkpoints without refreshments for the remaining distances: three checkpoints with refreshments at the 360-km distance, two at the 200-km distance, and one at the 100-km distance. Their locations and details will be specified in the participant guide.
Each participant is required to take their waste to these checkpoints designated by the organizers or to the finish line.
The event is open to all athletes over the age of 18 on the day of the event. Registered participants confirm that they are fully informed of the format and characteristics of the IG360 and are aware of the length, difficulty, and physical demands of the event. They confirm that they have the knowledge, experience, equipment, and physical and psychological level necessary to face and overcome potential problems related to the demands of a non-stop long-distance event.
Those registered participate in the event voluntarily and under their own responsibility. For this reason, the organizing entity and company, the municipality, collaborators and employees, sponsors, and other participants are exempt from any civil liability.
Upon registration, participants automatically accept the “disclaimer and certificate of physical fitness,” which informs them of the risks involved in participating and excludes the organization from any incident or accident arising from their participation.
Participants must prioritize ethics, camaraderie, and respect for the environment above the event.
In case of emergency, participants must call one of the numbers indicated on the race information sheet, which are exclusively for emergency use.
Participation, as a whole, is limited to a number that will be determined and posted when registration opens. For obvious safety reasons and due to the natural environment in which the race takes place, the number of participants is limited.
To collect the runner’s bag with the race number, the participant must provide identification (such as an ID card, passport, or federation license).
Registration opens on October 22, 2025, and will close on April 22, 2026, or when the maximum number of registered participants is reached. Registration can be completed through the official website www.irongravel.com, which will redirect you to the registration platform, Rockthesport.

One week before the event, changes to the name or distance cannot be made. Only in justified cases may a change of name or distance be requested by sending an email to the organizers: [email protected].
The organizers reserve the right to cancel the event up to the day of departure if the physical safety of participants is endangered due to weather or other force majeure factors.
All participants must carry all items provided by the Organization in their runner’s bag: cap, sticker, wristband, etc. These mandatory badges are essential for the safety of runners and the Organization and for the proper conduct of the race. Identification is required at refreshment stations, checkpoints, and at the various services offered, which cannot be accessed without proper identification.
The tracker, a geolocator, will be delivered in the runner’s bag with a €50 deposit, which will be returned at the finish line after returning it in perfect condition.
Given the self-sufficiency nature of the race, and despite the fact that it will have several refreshment points, each participant must plan for enough food and drinks to complete the course.
Mandatory equipment:
- Approved hard hat
- GPS
- Phone
- Auxiliary battery for both devices
- Front and rear lights
- Waterproof rain jacket
- Thermal blanket and whistle
- Basic tool kit and spare parts
Mandatory identification and safety equipment may be checked by members of the organization at the start and finish and at random throughout the course.
All participants must carefully observe the provisions of the Road Safety Law and its regulations. The route runs almost entirely on tracks and paths, but in some sections, roads open to traffic are crossed or used, where extreme caution must be exercised and traffic regulations strictly adhere to.
Everyone registered for the race will be covered during their participation, within the established route and timetable, by at least accident insurance in accordance with Royal Decree 849/1993, of June 4, which establishes the minimum capital for accidents involving athletes, with the guarantee of medical assistance. The organization will also maintain its own liability insurance.
Although the organization is not responsible for any accident caused by or suffered by the participant due to reckless or irresponsible actions, it is not liable for any expenses or debts that participants may incur during the event, nor for any loss or damage to bicycles or other equipment. The participant releases the organization from liability for the loss or damage to personal belongings under any circumstances.
The race number assigned to each participant is non-transferable and may not be transferred to another person without the prior knowledge and authorization of the race organizers. The insurance policies issued only cover the race number holder, who will be the one appearing on the registration lists.
Participants acknowledge that adequate prior training is required, as well as the right to be free of any injuries that could be aggravated as a result of participating in the event. Therefore, registration implies express recognition by the person registering that both conditions are met, exempting the organizers from any liability arising from failure to do so. In any case, each participant assumes any consequences to their health that may arise from their participation in the event, exempting the organizers from any liability that may arise for this reason. Participants are also responsible for their physical condition, for being familiar with the route and the physical demands it entails, for obtaining a medical examination of their health, and for any injuries that may be caused by their participation. Participants personally assume the inherent risk to their health posed by the physical effort required for participation.
One of the goals and objectives of IG 360 is to showcase the rich landscape and nature of the province of Alicante. Demonstrating that enjoying it can be compatible with sports tourism activities is one of our objectives.
The route runs largely through natural landscapes of exceptional beauty, so everyone is obliged to preserve the environment, and throwing waste outside the control areas is strictly prohibited. In order to minimize the environmental impact of the race, participants will use the containers located at the refreshment stations and strategic points to dispose of containers, wrappers, or food scraps.
IMAGE RIGHTS.
All participants waive their image rights during the event. The organizers may use images from the event for their own personal gain. The right to one’s own image is recognized in Article 18.1 of the Constitution and regulated by Law 5/1982, of May 5, on the right to honor, personal and family privacy, and one’s own image, as well as in the application of Organic Law 15/1999 on the Protection of Personal Data, of December 13.
Acceptance of these regulations implies that the participant authorizes the event organizer, IRON GRAVEL, to take photographs and film their participation and gives their consent for the dissemination and commercial and advertising exploitation of all images taken during the event, without the right to receive any type of financial compensation.
Under no circumstances will images be used for purposes other than those indicated.
DATA PROTECTION.
In accordance with the provisions of Organic Law 15/1999 of December 13, on the Protection of Personal Data, all participant data collected on the registration form will be included in a private file belonging to the event organizers, for the exclusive management and marketing purposes of the collaborating brands. All interested parties may exercise their rights of access, rectification, cancellation, and objection to the use of their data by emailing [email protected].
The mere fact of registering for this event implies acceptance of these Rules and the waiver of all rights against the Organization, waiving any legal action that may arise from your participation in the event.
The Organization reserves the right to make any necessary changes when deemed necessary for any reason, notifying such changes through the event’s usual media channels. It also reserves the right to refuse admission.
